Welcome to the Bundarra NSW Newsletter

Who says nothing ever happens in Bundarra?

The October long weekend 2008 would have had to be one of the busiest weekends in the town’s history, with the Bundarra Races, Pony Club Reunion, Wedding and the Variety Club Bash...

We are lucky to have an active community spirit in Bundarra it was a weekend full of fun, our next big event will be the campdraft November 14/15 and 16 with nominations filling quickly for the event.

Enjoy the photos from the Variety Club Bash.

Bundarra Courthouse Museum

Progress is being made on the new shed at the museum being built to house antique machinery

The album shows the progress over the last year all the work is done by local business people and residents on a volunteer basis. The Bundarra Lion’s Club have been generous enough to help with the cost of the materials and have given up their own time to help complete the progress, with the final stage of roof construction completed on the 20th April. Press the pause button to stop the show at any time.

CARAVAN PARK REGENERATION PROJECT.

We have planted around 200 new trees and shrubs in the Caravan park to make a stay in town more pleasurable for visitors. It may take a couple of years to achieve the desired visual effect, ie a better canopy and shade, but trees are now actively growing and looking good with the recent rain

THANKYOU!

A very big thankyou to two generous companies who supplied the kids at our school with Flash Drives to store their homework and projects on. We now have enough for all of our senior school to have their own and hopefully our kids will have the edge when it comes to technology etc when they leave school and go on to Higher Education and the Workforce.

It’s really important for small towns like ours to keep up with the rest of Australia in educational standards and people like the below companies help us to be competitive. .logo_imation

Thanks to Brie Quarmby and Imation for their generous donation of 30 flash drives

HAVE YOU SEEN THE REGENT HONEY EATER?

This bird is a rare and endangered species and Bundarra is one of the few places that still has an active breeding colony. The bird is around the same size as a starling and distinctly black white and gold. Please contact Steve Auld, Principal Bundarra Central School 67237102 fax 67237387.
